Pet Grief Therapy

Losing our animals is such an incredibly painful experience. Expecting to see them, waiting to hear their feet tapping on the floor as they run to you, sitting in your favourite spot without them, going for your walk alone, pet grief is truly heartbreaking.

You’ve shared a life with them and now they aren’t physically with you anymore.

Sometimes it feels like you’ll never be happy again. I get it, I’ve felt that more times than I care to remember; I really understand what you’re going through and the intense pain and sadness of pet grief.

My cat Spooky spends every day beside me, in fact he’s sitting on the arm of my chair as I write. He came into my life a couple of years ago when I felt broken. My cat Binx had died in my arms and I was beyond devastated. One day I got a call asking if I’d take a rescue kitten.

The moment we met, I loved Spooky and I felt my Binx had sent him to me. I still miss Binx, beyond words, but Spooky helps me feel happiness and love. I tell him about his big brother.

I’m not saying you have to get another animal but I want you to know that living with pet grief doesn’t mean you won’t ever feel joy again. It doesn’t mean that you won’t feel happiness.

I’m here to help you with your grief and I truly understand the pain you’re feeling and the enormity of your loss.

I’m here to support you at this horrible time. If you’d like to explore this further, you can book a session here.
